IEC 62443

ISA/IEC 62443 is a series of standards that provide detailed requirements for Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS). It is a comprehensive set of standards that cover security risk assessment at various stages of design and development processes. It enables all agents in the supply chain to identify risks and address them with countermeasures to ensure security in response to the ever-growing risk of cyber threats. ISA/IEC 62443 is subdivided into four levels namely General, Policies & Procedures, System and Component with each level consisting of several parts relevant to that particular level.

Intellectual Property (IP)

In electronic design, a semiconductor intellectual property core (SIP core), IP core, or IP block is a reusable unit of logic, cell, or integrated circuit layout design that is the intellectual property of one party. IP cores can be licensed to another party or owned and used by a single party. The term comes from the licensing of the patent or source code copyright that exists in the design.

Internet of Things (IoT)

Describes physical objects (or groups of such objects) that are embedded with sensors, processing ability, software, and other technologies, and that connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the Internet or other communications networks.
